I could have had surgery for my L5/S1 in the United States had I pushed for it … instead chose to have Dr. Desai fix my back.

I coped very well with the surgery. The intensive care in the days following was excellent. After three days, with the support of the physiotherapist, I was able to stand up with a walking frame and take my first steps. I was discharged home on the sixth day after the surgery.

I would have this surgery performed again with Dr. Desai at any time. I felt in excellent hands, and the result completely met my expectations. I hope, of course, that it won't be necessary again in the future.
