More than five years after the surgery, the patient is living an active and fulfilling life again. I coped very well with the surgery. The intensive care in the days following was excellent. After three days, with the support of the physiotherapist, I was able to stand up with a walking frame and take my first steps. I was discharged home on the sixth day after the surgery.
