My journey choosing an artificial lumbar disc and spine surgeon. My thorough research led me to the LP-ESP artificial disc. Then I searched for a top surgeon with lots of disc replacement experience. Dr. Desai has been implanting artificial discs since 2004. His price was also the most reasonable of all the surgeons I contacted in Germany, Spain, Switzerland and France. 1/3 the cost of doing it in the USA where outdated ADR implants are used. Dr. Biren Desai in Cologne Germany will give you a free consult. Mail a CD of your MRI and include a DEXA scan (bone density). Include a short description of your back or leg pain history and all your past surgeries. Include your email. Once he reviews your images he’ll send you an email of his conclusions. If you are a candidate, pick a surgery date and move forward. The biggest complaint among ADR recipients is they wished they’d have done it sooner. Don’t let your life waste away in pain.
