⸺Revision surgery ⸺
Revision surgery of the neck, chest and lumbar spine
Revision surgery is a repeat operation to achieve the original desired surgical result. The most common reason for revision surgery is an insufficient aesthetic and functional result after the initial operation or the occurrence of postoperative complications.

Need for special experience of the doctor
In addition, there are also changes such as ageing, weight changes or pregnancy, which affect the outcome of an operation over time and require a revision procedure. A revision procedure on the spine may be necessary if, for example, implants have loosened or the stiffening of vertebrae has not progressed satisfactorily. The pattern of complaints depends on the underlying condition and the successful assignment of complaints to the findings obtained by CT, MRI or X-ray requires the special experience of the attending physician.
Conservative treatment
Most of the time, only minor complaints occur after surgery, which are treated with conservative medical measures such as painkillers and physiotherapy even without surgical treatment.
Surgical treatment
Severe surgical complications can often only be resolved by further surgery. Revision surgery employs the familiar techniques of all areas of spinal surgery. Since the surgical effort is high, such procedures should only be performed by an experienced surgeon.
